In the beginning...

Long before we discussed marriage, we shared a dream of traveling abroad.

Traveling was something we always wanted to do, but never found the right time or money to do so. We think this is the prime time in our lives to get away and see the world. Without life's many distractions, we will grow strong as husband and wife at an amazing rate. We can't wait to indulge in spending every single day together around the world, and everywhere in between. We plan to return home with empty pockets, but rich with unforgettable memories, and more in love than ever.

Although you are not obligated to give a wedding gift, if we are honored with your generosity, may we respectfully request a donation to our travels. If you feel so inclined, one option, is to deposit securely using a credit/debit card through this blog. Click on the donate button below and follow the instructions. Make sure to fill in all your information accurately so we may know who to thank! Many blessings to all of you!

We are thrilled you are here visiting our new blog page and to follow along with us during our journey! As we begin our new life with each other and leave on our travels, our goal is that this web page may serve as a convenient place to communicate with all of you via images, videos, and words.

Don't be shy! Drop us a line !

Looking forward to sharing our new life together with all of you!

Stay tuned!

Love,
Nancy and Ryan

Christmas Surprise

For Christmas this past year we decided to make a surprise stop home before continuing our travels. After a couple big bogus stories about our plans for christmas, purchasing tickets to LAX and saying goodbye to all the meat and potatoes in Brazil, we hopped on a plane, connected through Panama, and landed safely in California. It was an adventure surprising our parents one at a time. We loved being home for the holiday and thought it was a perfect first Christmas together as newly weds. Lots of family time and lots of love.

This was the first time that all of Ryan's family had been together for christmas in a decade. Nancy also had out of town relatives that made it into CA for christmas at her grandma's. So we were really happy we made the effort to come home as well. It was definitely a christmas we couldn't have missed.

There were some fun activities like playing football at the park, riding dirt bikes, eating pho, getting Korean bbq, singing Christmas carols, frosting christmas cookies, drinking hot chocolate and vanilla steamers (Nancy's favorite) and sharing some of our travel stories. Also, it was fun to see all the little nephews and nieces getting so big.

We were able to capture some of our families reactions on film when we surprised them. Check out this little video of the surprises:

Depending on your internet connection, you may need to press play, then pause, and let the play bar load before watching for smoother playback. If you still have issues, try clicking on HD to turn OFF.

Well Amanda we had planned to surprise Grandma but the news we were in town leaked out and got to her before we could make it over. So no surprise at the door but we still had fun at the party!
